Creative campaign for Betadine, returning to the product and educating consumers.
The concept of the Betadine campaign for 2023 returned to the product itself, focusing on Betadine disinfectant.
We created several educational videos about Betadine and disinfectants in general, showcasing how Betadine works. The videos explained the principles of its effects and its various uses. We also focused on the practical application of this disinfectant. Unlike other forms of disinfectants, iodine-based disinfectants have several advantages, which we aimed to introduce to the target audience. The goal was to define Betadine, highlight its effects, and present it as a preventive measure for potential injury consequences.
The creative solution combines live-action film with animation. All the videos feature one guide who presents Betadine in a popular, educational manner.
The videos were used in advertisements on YouTube and social media platforms.
The Researcher
The spot presents the history of disinfection and wound care from ancient times through the 17th century, showing the evolution of wound healing up to today's scientific discoveries. It compares historical methods with modern disinfection, culminating in Betadine, and focuses on the processes without mentioning specific individuals.
The Chemist
We created an educational spot on the topic of iodine. Where is this element found in nature, who discovered it, what are its effects, and why doesn’t it burn? How is it so effective against bacteria, viruses, and fungi? What alternatives to iodine exist for use in disinfection?
Suppositories
Our protagonist is joined by his wife. The message of this video? Emphasis on prevention; not being afraid to talk about your problems; seeing a doctor in time. Then, Betadine suppositories are a discreet helper in every woman’s handbag, in case she needs such help.
How to use Betadine correctly
Do you know how to properly treat a wound with Betadine? How long does Betadine work? Does the treatment need to be repeated? Betadine is brown in color – is that an advantage or a disadvantage? All of these questions are answered in the final spot of the campaign.
